The holy Martyrs Sophia and Irene.

The holy Martyrs Sophia and Irene are in the Synaxaria and the Roman Martyrology, but little is known of them. According to some sources they were beheaded in Egypt in the reign of the Emperor Claudius, or perhaps by a local governor of the same name.
