The Holy Martyr Conon.
The holy Martyr Conon, who lived in the days of the holy Apostles, was from a certain village called Bydane of Isauria in Asia Minor, the son of Nestor and Nada. His parents had him joined in marriage to a maiden named Anna, but the two lived in virginity. It is said that the Saint was converted by the Archangel Michael. He then brought many idolaters to Christ, among them his own parents, of whom Nestor died a Martyr. Magnus the Governor of Isauria imprisoned Conon and had him mercilessly beaten for preaching Christ, but when a multitude of Christians enlightened by Conon came threatening him with death, he released the Saint, whom the multitude took to his own home, where he lived two years, then gave up his spirit to the Lord, some time in the second century.
